With a profit of + 95.12%, the Group Brunello Cucinelli, ended the year 2000 with a turnover of 89 billion lire for an increase of 35.35% compared to 1999.
And the result from the press conference sponsored by Cucinelli and Palatella was to announce the acquisition of 50% of the brand "Saverio Palatella" by the group Cucinelli.
The agreement between the Brunello Cucinelli industry and the designer Saverio Palatella, involves the production and distribution of the women's collection signed "Saverio Palatella" which will be produced by Rivamonti (Part of Group Cucinelli). The first presentation, on Autumn / Winter 2001-2002, is expected with fashion show in Milan with the National Chamber of Fashion's calendar.
The agreement with Palatella is part of a three-year plan with Cucinelli Group, that also provides for completion by each year, the new plant is in Solomeo (an investment of nine billion), future home of the new brands Gunex, Rivamonti, Timaeus.
"Our Group has achieved interesting results for us, so we wanted to dedicate a portion of our time to a sort of "patronage of fashion", supporting Saverio Palatella, in our opinion one of the best designers in the world with knits and as well, being a "very good person".
Hence the idea of the "Palatella woman" where Saverio will exclusively have for his collection a reserved structure for him and his staff.
The idea is to create a luxury product, which is the result of a free choice of style and of great craftsmanship.
Clearly all this with the goal of achieving interesting economic results."
