Fall Winter 2004

Dolls

For the first time the public will put on the show, to animate the unfolding of the ritual walkway. DOLLS: Dolls live on stage personify the many forms of the imaginary female: Eva Robins, Pat Cleveland, Simonetta Gianfelici, Violeta Sanchez, Angela Parmigiani, Betony Vernon, Anna Pia Babic, and Kandis Davis. They dress the femininity according to Saverio Palatella. For the A/W 2004-05 Collection, the designer is a metteur-en-scène, amused and curious, who now favors with his creations and twists and disturbs the role chosen for each of his DOLLS. From a mythological and stylized Barbie doll, to a fetish lady with a cruel spell, to a gentle and sweet meringue woman until the algida dandy in monocle and robe de chambre. Among the fabrics used, excels the fluidity of the satin, light-weight cashmere crepe, silk velvet and precious Twenties tapes. But not to dismiss, the impalpable overlaps and crossovers, the shiny metallic 80s jersey that contrasts with the recycled parachute military fabric, volumetric and graceful, and surprisingly sumptuous. Colors are punctual and essential: night blue, smoke, ivory, and acid green from opulent mannerist painters. Must have: BLACK PARACHUTE CASHMERE, the skirt or coat in the technical parachute fabric in military green with borders in black cashmere.
